The Enfold Recorder Bot is a mechanism for Skype users to easily record, edit and share their audio calls.
Go to recorder.enfold.com. Add the Enfold Recorder Bot to your Skype Contacts. Then, to record a call, simply add this Bot to the call like you might add any person from your Skype Contacts. That’s it – the Bot will do the rest.
Any time you use the Enfold Recorder Bot, it will send you one or more messages. At the bottom of each message will be a button that says VIEW RECORDINGS. Click/tap that button and you will see all your recordings. If you can’t find any messages from the Enfold Recorder Bot, simply click/tap it in your Skype Contacts, and it will immediately send you a message.
Go to the recording you want to send to someone. Following its name, date and time is a list of commands (things you can do to this recording). Click/tap to open this list. One of the choices is SHARE. Click/tap on it to send a copy of this recording to someone else via email.
Go to the recording you want to download. Following its name, date and time is a list of commands (things you can do to this recording). Click/tap to open this list. One of the choices is DOWNLOAD. Click/tap on it to download the recording.
Go to the recording you want to delete. Following its name, date and time is a list of commands (things you can do to this recording). Click/tap to open this list. One of the choices is DELETE. Click/tap on it to delete the recording.
Any recording may contain one or more ‘moments of interest’. You can drop pins on such moments and then you (or anyone you share the recording with) can use them to navigate through the recording and only listen to the ‘interesting parts’. Going to a pin means jumping to a point 30 seconds before it. In addition to dropping pins, you can entitle and annotate each pin (“Bob Confesses!”).
We’re considering various ways to enhance recordings, but in the near term we only intend to do one thing – clean up noisy recordings (e.g. if one of the people being recorded was in a car or a train or at a party etc.).
It may be helpful to have the speech in the recording turned into text. That’s what we do when we transcribe a recording.
In the future, there will be a small fee associated with the recordings. Users who choose to pay the fee can preserve their recordings indefinitely. All others will have the opportunity to download their recordings and save them somewhere else.
Enfold encrypts each recording and then ‘cuts it up’ into many pieces, and stores each piece separately using a patent-pending method. Thus there is no way for anyone to steal a recording – they can only get fragments.
Select VIEW RECORDINGS in any message from the Enfold Recorder Bot. Once you get to the Recordings page, select the HELP tab at the right edge. This leads to a form which you can fill and send to Enfold Support. Alternatively, you may email email@example.com direc
They are sent to firstname.lastname@example.org via email.
